Power Upgrade Your Car
Ricci Concept Motor Company in Hull/East Yorkshire is giving motorists more power on the roads.
As well as servicing, the company offers power upgrading for cars. Recently it has remapped two VW Touareg TDI’s with excellent results.
One of the vehicles was upgraded for better towing ability as the owner is a caravanner, while the second – an avid Hull City fan – had his Touareg upgraded for business purposes and to travel to away matches.
In standard form, the 2.5-litre R5 TDI engine produces 174 PS and 400 Nm of torque – but remapping the ECU using the OCT software has raised this to 203 bhp and 460 Nm of torque – providing substantially improved pulling power.
Nick Sanderson, owner of Ricci Concept, said: “Many car owners nowadays want to run their car to its optimum and we can help drivers achieve that and better.
“In the last few weeks we have upgraded two Tourareg’s with great results. We have a fully digital rolling road in the workshop, so owners can actually see how their car is performing and the benefits of any modifications they have made.
“A graph obtained from a rolling road session displays power and torque characteristics and allows us to modify the engine so it runs to optimum level.”
Ricci Concept prides itself on providing high quality service and advice for people who love their cars. The team are an award-winning independent specialist in Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda and Porsche servicing and repairs, with a highly-equipped service centre in Hedon Road, Hull, close to the city centre.

New intercooler upgrade for new audi
TT Mk 2 from Ricci Concept
For
the new 2.0 L FSIT engines there is one sure way to
improve on the charge air cooling by using the Forge
"TWINtercooler" this ground breaking innovation
features our unique twin-intercooler design which has
added greater efficiency throughout the entire RPM band
beyond that of a single intercooler setup.
We have achieved this by using the latest core technology
with high flow end tank designs to achieve a huge reduction
in inlet temperatures.
We spent many months testing various designs and the
Twintercooler design emerged as the clear winner.
This is a bolt-on kit that retains the use of the OEM
intercooler to produce both horsepower AND torque, but
more importantly, a HUGE reduction in inlet temperatures
and increased flow efficiency.
A reduction in temps of up to a peak of 19 degrees Fahrenheit
from 102 to 83 at 6600 RPM!
While the horsepower figures themselves are impressive
enough (this may vary from car to car under various
circumstances), but such a large reduction in inlet
temperatures clearly shows this intercoolers ability.
Once again we have a product that truly is Engineered
for performance.
